Dr. John Thomas Wood

Dr. John Thomas Wood is a writer and photoartist who looks for beauty in the ordinary. Much of his visual work resembles abstract expressionist painting - full of texture and color and defying identification. His work has been called “painting with a camera.” Two hardcover books document a small percentage of his work: “Imagine” and “Figs Fall in Love.” Featured in Point Loma Monthly and Pacific magazine, he has exhibited at La Jolla’s Anthenaeum, Art on 30th, Bread & Cie, and the Pavilion on Bainbridge Island, WA. His art hangs in homes and offices in Germany, San Francisco, Thailand, New York City, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Bainbridge Island, and Spokane.
